Meet the Governors – Dr Dai Roberts

IMG_4476Dr Dai Roberts, Community Governor, AHCCI joined the All Hallows Governing Body in September 2014. I am also currently a governor at St John the Evangelist CE Aided Primary School, Ivy Road, Macclesfield and have been Chair at St John’s for the last nine years. During this time, St John’s has seen two successful OFSTED inspections, the appointment of a new Head Teacher and the school’s transition into a full member of the All Hallows Learning Community.During the day, I work as research lead for St Ann’s Hospice in Manchester. Together with the clinical teams at St Ann’s and across the hospice movement, I deliver research and quality improvement projects that aim to maximise the quality of services we deliver to our patients and families. Our family is based in Macclesfield, with both our children attending All Hallows. We are also part of the church family at Holy Trinity Church of England church in Hurdsfield, where we are active members of the congregation.Transitioning as a governor from primary into the high school setting, I hope my role will help to strengthen links between All Hallows and its learning community governing bodies. I believe All Hallows offers excellent educational opportunities for its students, but also provides an environment which nurtures them to become confident, caring and successful young adults. As part of the All Hallows Governing Body, I very much look forward to supporting the school as it continues to strive for excellence.
