Academy Status

All Hallows Applies for Converter Academy Status.

As an OfSTED outstanding school we have been invited to become one of the new ‘Converter Academies’. This means we will be able to build on the benefits and achievements of voluntary aided status.
All Hallows is now in the process of formally applying for academy status.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury has given conditional approval for conversion.
The Academy Order has been received from the DfE.
Brown-Jacobson, the legal consultancy approved by the diocese has been contracted.
It is hoped that we will, over time, be able to establish a Multi-Academy Trust in partnership with our family of schools.
Thank you to all parents and partners who responded to the consultation. There has been over-whelming support for the proposal.

Update 3 December 2012
The DfE have approved the legal documents and everything is progressing well with the Diocese of Shrewsbury. We expect to become an academy on 1 January 2013.
It has been decided that we will retain our existing name ‘All Hallows Catholic College’ with the line ‘A voluntary academy’ underneath on the letterhead. The trust will be known as The Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Academy Trust and we are hopeful that other members of All Hallows Learning Community will convert to academy status and join us soon.
